For your viewing pleasure, I present the latest batch of HRD images.
I created these from images I captured while hiking in the Anthony Lakes region (Eastern Oregon). Janel and I and a bunch of wacky-'nanners (my relatives) visited that remote mountainous area in late September 2010. Present were my aunt Jeri, my unk Jon, cousins Kim and Holly, cousin-in-law Christine, Janel and moi. Christine came up with the best location-description "An alpine wonderland high in the Elkhorn Range of Eastern Oregon's Blue Mountains."
We experienced an inordinate amount of daytime spine-tingling, hilarious, exhausting moments (not necessarily in that order, yet oddly, sometimes in pairs) way out of proportion to the miniscule amounts of distilled beverages that mysteriously found their way into our quaffing vessels in the later evenings. On the flip side, there were several outstanding bottles of said beverages that were generously portioned, passed around, commented upon, and almost never spit back out again in horror or disgust.
It was apparent that a nighttime freeze had occurred shortly before our arrival, as indicated by the absence of flying, buzzing, blood-draining nuisances (no, I don't mean politicians, lawyers, or bankers - that would actually insult the mosquitoes who don't have a choice of vocation nor - perhaps more importantly - how they practice it). Don't ask me about the other flying nuisance, the fly, of which there were enough of them to band together and carry off a small, easily confused, panicked goat or a freaked out scurry of squirrels. We fooled them with the upright vac; sucked 'em off the walls like corn in a tornado!
All in all, a glorious, silly-making success, as witnessed by the collection of goofy grins, looks of utter exhaustion, a malodorous heap of filthy jeans and socks, and these photos (among others - links to come).

Use as desktop and screensaver images is fine by me. Let me know and I will send to you the large format version. (They look absolutely awesome when printed in large format on KODAK paper with metallic finish)
Reprint/resale permission is, however, required.
